The Women's Ministry exists to provide a place for all women to connect with God, with other women, and with the community.

We invite you to find your place to connect with us:

Discipleship

Discipleship is an intentional relationship in which we walk alongside other disciples in order to equip, encourage, and challenge one another to grow toward maturity in Christ. If you would like to be discipled by an older woman, disciple a younger woman, or attend our bi-annual discipleship training sessions, please contact Marylyn Kenney.

We have wonderful CCC women who are ready and willing to minister to other women in the areas of miscarriage, infertility, post-abortion healing, sexual assault, and postpartum depression. You may contact our Women's Ministry leader, Lori Woods, for more information. Your name and situation will remain confidential.

Bible Studies

During the school year, we offer Bible study through two options: weekly studies on Wednesdays and studies on Saturdays that meet twice a month.

Women in the Word, starting September 13th (Fall 2017)
Join other women in studying the book of Philippians on Wednesday mornings! Krisan Marotta, Libby Taggart and Christine Hoover will lead our large group teaching, and we'll enjoy getting to know each other through small group discussion and prayer. Childcare (opens at 9:15 am) provided for an additional cost. Questions? Check out our FAQ page here. Ready to sign up? You can register online here. Contact Lindsay Johnson at lindsay.morrett@gmail.com for more information.

Second and Fourth Saturdays, starting September 9th (Fall 2017)
If a twice a month study better suits your schedule, please join us on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 10am-12pm for Bible study, group discussion, and prayer. The study is led by Susan Hamil and Diana Webb and hosted by Lori Woods. This year, our Saturday study will cover the books of Joshua and Judges. No childcare is provided for this study. Ready to sign up? You can register online here. Contact Susan Hamil for more information.

Women Doing Ministry

CCC women are involved in a variety of personal ministries to their neighbors and to our community. Instead of providing corporate service opportunities for women, we encourage you to connect with  ministries our women are already involved in and serve alongside them. Opportunities include Athletes in Action at UVA, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Young Lives (ministry to teen moms), and serving at Cale Elementary. Find a list of these opportunities and contact information here.

Side by Side

Side by Side is an inter-church ministry to wives of medical students, residents, and doctors that we support and encourage our women to participate in. Contact Britt Davis for more information.

Gatherings

We also provide opportunities for women to fellowship throughout the year. Take a look at the Upcoming Events listed on this page to see what's coming up!
