Advancing Native Missions
Advancing Native Missions is an agency called to seek out, evaluate, and equip indigenous mission groups throughout the world in order to hasten global evangelization. As they partner with native missionaries through advocacy, encouragement, and support, they are helping them to serve, love, and reach people in their surrounding regions with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, all for the glory of God.
Athletes in Action
Athletes in Action exists to boldly proclaim the love and truth of Jesus Christ to those uniquely impacted by sport at The University of Virginia and the greater Charlottesville community by sharing, providing and assisting in spiritual growth.
Cale Elementary School
As our host location for Sunday worship, we seek to love and serve Cale families, faculty, and staff as opportunities arise. Initiatives such as the Backpack Program support a great number of Cale families in need. Volunteers are needed for one-time and ongoing initiatives that impact the Cale community.
International Rescue Committee (IRC)
Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC delivers lifesaving care to people fleeing conflict and natural disaster. Across 40 countries and in 22 U.S. cities, the IRC is helping to restore safety and dignity to millions forced to flee from war, persecution and natural disaster. >
International Students Incorporated (ISI)
ISI is a Christian organization that serves international students and their families in Charlottesville, helping them adjust to their new setting and make American friends. The leaders of ISI organize activities, offer bible discussion groups and free dinners, and strive to provide a sensitive and caring community where friendships can thrive.
People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry (PACEM)
PACEM is a grassroots organization that coordinates space and volunteers to provide shelter for individuals in our community who are homeless.
Salvation Army Charlottesville
The mission of the Salvation Army is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The Charlottesville-based Salvation Army houses 90 homeless and distressed people nightly and provides hundreds of meals daily. More than 48,000 meals were served to people in need in 2014.
The mission of YoungLife is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. YoungLife volunteers accomplish this mission by praying for young people, building personal relationships with them, and sharing their lives and the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The vision of YoungLives is to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Through life-on-life mentoring, teen moms are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ.
